What is FIXED RESISTORS

- **Thin Film Resistors**: Made by depositing a thin film of resistive material on a ceramic or glass substrate. They offer high precision and stability for demanding applications.

3. **Applications**:
- **Current Limiting**: Fixed resistors are used to limit the current flow through a circuit, protecting sensitive components from damage.
- **Voltage Dividers**: They are used in voltage divider circuits to set specific voltage levels from a higher voltage source.
- **Signal Conditioning**: Adjust signal levels and impedance matching in various electronic circuits.
- **Pull-Up/Pull-Down Resistors**: Ensure that digital inputs are at defined logic levels when not actively driven by another component.

4. **Specifications**:
- **Resistance Value**: The specific resistance of the resistor, given in ohms (Ω). Common values are defined by the E12 or E24 series.
- **Tolerance**: Indicates the accuracy of the resistor's resistance value. It is expressed as a percentage (e.g., ±5%, ±1%).

2. **Surface-Mount Resistors (SMD)**:
